Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham continue to make big strides in the summer window, with the three London giants looking to strengthen their squads and bring in new signings at the start of pre-season friendlies.

Raheem Sterling began his medical at Chelsea on Sunday night ahead of his £50million transfer, and Nathan Ake is expected to join him at Stamford Bridge soon. Another arrival for Conte’s revolution

Tottenham are the latest Premier League club to appoint a specialist set-piece coach, confirming Gianni Vio as part of Antonio Conte’s staff.

Vio, 69, joins Spurs from the Italy national team where he helped the Azzurri win the European Championship last summer.

The former banker has previously worked for numerous Italian clubs, including Fiorentina and AC Milan, as well as Brentford and Leeds.

Erik ten Hag has refused to discuss Manchester United’s potential offer for Frenkie de Jong.

Bellingham not a Liverpool target… yet

Jurgen Klopp has claimed Liverpool will not sign another midfielder in the summer transfer window despite reports linking the club with Jude Bellingham.

Torreira back in Arsenal squad

Lucas Torreira is due to report for pre-season training at Arsenal this week as the club continue their attempts to resolve their future, writes Simon Collings of Standard Sport.

Torreira fell out of favor at Arsenal and spent last season on loan at Fiorentina, where it was believed he would sign permanently this summer.

Fiorentina, however, refused to pay the pre-agreed fee for Torreira, believed to be around £12.5million, and he was left in limbo.

Effusive tale about Tottenham’s new signings

Antonio Conte says it was important for Tottenham to get their business done at the start of the summer as the team embarked on their pre-season tour of South Korea.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is confident that Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at the club this summer.

The 37-year-old striker has told the club he wants to leave Old Trafford following their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Ten Hag told reporters: “[Ronaldo] is not with us. This is due to personal issues. We are planning with Ronaldo for this season – that’s all. I look forward to working with him.

Tuchel doesn’t like Ronaldo

Chelsea are ready to focus on new attacking targets with Leeds striker Raphinha closing in on Barcelona, writes Standard Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella.
