Transfer the news LIVE! Sterling agrees Chelsea FC transfer, Ronaldo last; Tielemans to Arsenal, Spurs consider another deal

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham remain major players in this summer’s transfer window. Indeed, Raheem Sterling has agreed a move to Stamford Bridge after having positive talks with Thomas Tuchel and a deal to sign the England international is now in its final stages. With Liverpool, PSG, Barcelona and Bayern Munich also expressing an interest in the striker, it’s quite a move for co-owner Todd Boehly.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have finally secured Gabriel Jesus and can now focus on strengthening other areas of Mikel Arteta’s squad. To that end, Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans remains a key target, with the midfielder not signing a new contract in the East Midlands. Elsewhere in north London, Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to lure another centre-back to the club despite a loan deal for Clement Lenglet being close to being completed. Away from the London scene, Cristiano Ronaldo could see his attempts to leave Manchester United undermined by the fact that Bayern Munich have confirmed that they will not sign him. Tottenham want ‘one more defensive signing’

A deal to bring Clement Lenglet to Tottenham is reportedly close, although Antonio Conte may not be done there.

Indeed, such is his desire to challenge for top honors, the Italian is said to be ready to hunt ANOTHER centre-back for what remains of this summer.

“If Lenglet comes in there’s obviously Davies there too, I’d like one more and I think Conte would like one more,” Sky reporter Michael Bridge said.

“But again, where is Rodon going? Will Sanchez? I think Tanganga will stay because he is local and Spurs lack local players, so I still think Spurs will be looking to bring in another defender.

Bayern Munich rule out signing Cristiano Ronaldo

At 37, Cristiano Ronaldo could struggle to move to another top European club.

Indeed, despite the superstar striker reportedly asking to leave Old Trafford, Bayern Munich have stressed he won’t budge.

“As much as I appreciate Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the greatest [footballers ever]a transfer would not fit our philosophy,” said chief executive Oliver Khan.

Youri Tielemans ‘high’ on Arsenal’s transfer wishlist

Youri Tielemans has been linked with a move to Arsenal for several months now and the Belgian is yet to sign a new contract with Leicester City.

Now that Gabriel Jesus has been signed, sporting director Edu can presumably work on other targets and – according to Fabrizio Romano – that’s exactly what the Brazilian could do with Tielemans.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Romano said: “Let’s see if they decide to make an official offer for Tielemans, or if it’s just a contact with his agent.

“He’s always been very high on the list for Edu and Arteta.”
