Chelsea FC: Kepa will talk to Thomas Tuchel about the future

Kepa Arrizabalaga has revealed he will hold talks over his future at Chelsea with manager Thomas Tuchel.

The most expensive goalkeeper in football history, the Spaniard has been reduced to a substitute role since signing Edouard Mendy in 2020.

Considered a bit of a penalty expert, the 27-year-old didn’t spare a single effort in the shootout in the Carabao Cup final loss to Liverpool in February and was left out of the final edition of the FA Cup against the same opponent.

While the former Athletic Bilbao striker usually acted as Tuchel’s cup goalkeeper last season, Kepa has revealed he’s eager to play more.

Limited to just four Premier League appearances, the club are open to a sale if a sizeable offer emerges, although recouping anything close to the £72m they spent on the Spain international in 2018 seems extremely unlikely.

Gary Neville aims to dig Manchester United owners amid Brentford battle for Christian Eriksen

Gary Neville has slammed the Glazer family as Manchester United take on Brentford over the signing of Christian Eriksen.

The Dane is believed to be eyeing the two clubs as his next move, the idea of which would have been fanciful several years ago.

While Brentford is certainly an attractive destination for players, even the club’s most ardent supporter would surely admit that United’s attraction would usually far outweigh their own.

Still, the 30-year-old enjoyed a wonderful spell in west London during the second half of last season, scoring once and registering four assists in 11 Premier League appearances.
