Transfer news: Man Utd close to two signings, Salah’s bombshell, Raphinha’s new price | Soccer | sport

Express Sport’s Ryan Taylor has the latest from the City Ground…

Liverpool defender Neco Williams, valued at £15m by the Reds, has emerged as Nottingham Forest’s top right-back target as they consider a replacement for Djed Spence. Fulham are also keen on the Welshman after his impressive loan spell at Craven Cottage, but Marco Silva’s side are also exploring a deal for Wolfsburg’s Kevin Mbabu.

To date, there has been no follow-up from Forest following their investigation into Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles. Manchester City’s Issa Kabore is another possibility and his agent Rerien Kanhai discussed his client’s options with the Premier League champions this week in face-to-face talks.

Forest still want to sign centre-back Moussa Niakhate but Mainz are frustrated with the Premier League new boys’ opening offer which has soured relations.

Another interesting name for Steve Cooper, who coached him during his time at Swansea City, is Tottenham’s Joe Rodon.
