Spurs eye Bundesliga starlet

Tottenham are considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Piero Hincapie as Antonio Conte’s summer overhaul continues.

The Italian has already recruited Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma.

But acquiring a centre-back remains his No.1 priority and, having seen Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni fail, Conte is now considering other options.

Hincapie has been on Tottenham’s radar for some time and is seen by the club as a player with huge potential.

The 20-year-old, who plays on the left side of a central two, has impressed Leverkusen, who he joined a year ago from Argentina side Talleres.

He also impressed on the international stage with Ecuador, helping them to the World Cup final in Qatar in November, and Leverkusen are preparing for offers this summer.
