Everton are in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a deal for Harry Winks.
Frank Lampard lost Fabian Delph and Donny van de Beek – who spent the second half of last season on loan from Manchester United – in the summer.
Everton are now in the early stages of talks for Winks as they look to improve their midfield options.
Winks came through Tottenham’s academy and broke into the first team in 2014. He made 128 league appearances for the club. The 26-year-old has also been capped 10 times by England but last played in 2020.
Tottenham are also set to let Steven Bergwijn leave north London this summer.
Negotiations with Ajax are ongoing over some details of the deal but it is certain that an agreement will be reached. The Dutch side are expected to pay an initial fee of around £21.5million for Bergwijn.
We also understand that the Spurs do not want to bring Gabriel Jesus this summer.
