Liverpool qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League
The Reds have already won the Carabao Cup and could win three more trophies this season
After the game, BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey asked Ferdinand if he ‘can imagine’ Liverpool winning all four trophies this season.
Ferdinand, carrying his Manchester United allegiances, jokingly replied: “No, I don’t imagine that.”
He then added: “They have the quality, no doubt. This team is full of winners.
Rio Ferdinand admitted the four-timer is ‘not beyond’ Jurgen Klopp’s side
“It’s full of people who have great passion and a desire to keep going and winning things. The mentality and the mindset are there and they have a great manager behind them.
“It’s not beyond them – let’s wait and see”.
The Premier League title race seemed dead and buried after Christmas, but Liverpool’s impressive form and Manchester City’s drop in points got Klopp’s side back in the running.
Liverpool are second in the Championship and also made the FA Cup quarter-finals
They are six points behind City, with one game behind them and one game up at the Etihad Stadium.
As well as reaching the Champions League quarter-finals, they have reached the same FA Cup stage where they will face Championship Nottingham Forest.
The draw for the next stage of the Champions League will be made on March 18.
