The newly-promoted side have reportedly been engaged in talks with Manchester City for full-back Issa Kabore, but according to Fabrizio Romano Forest are close to completing the signing of another defender.
Steve Cooper is looking for signings to strengthen his squad so they have the best chance of survival and a winger is one of the most needed targets as Djed Spence will not join a permanent deal after a successful year at the club.
Kabore was on loan last season at French Ligue 1 side Troyes, where he played 31 league games scoring two goals and contributing to six clean sheets, but it is another right-back for the French side that Forest are eyeing .
Fabrice Romano reported that Giulian Biancone will join a permanent deal with an incumbent doctor on Saturday.

Biancone played 33 games last season scoring once and getting two assists.
This could mean Nottingham Forest will no longer opt for Kabore this summer with City not being lenient enough in the negotiations.
The Burkinabe international is just 21 and has shown plenty of potential so the Premier League champions may be hesitant to let him go, but with Kyle Walker being their first-choice right-back it’s unlikely that Kaboré gets a lot of playing time.
It would therefore make sense for a deal to be reached this summer with a club so that they can continue to develop.
