Wolves believe Ruben Neves will leave the club this summer amid interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Wolves played their final home game of the season on Sunday afternoon, drawing 1-1 at home to already-relegated Norwich City.
Rayan Ait-Nouri saved a point for Wolves, whose form continues to disappoint fans.
Just three points from the last six games have been frustrating and Wolves have disappeared from European competition.
That now leaves Wolves open to losing midfielder Neves, who just might want Champions League football at 25.
Wolves think Ruben Neves will leave this summer
The Wolves players completed the usual full-time victory lap after playing their final home game of the season.
Neves looked particularly emotional and gushed as he left the pitch, leaving some to worry he was saying goodbye.
Neves spent five years with Wolves and while fans chanted they would ‘riot’ if the midfielder was sold, a summer move could be on the cards.
The Birmingham Mail are now reporting that people behind the scenes at Wolves believe Neves has now played his last home game for the club.
Wolves are reportedly wanting more than £60m but any deal for Neves is expected to be quite costly.
Arsenal and Tottenham linked with Neves
Neves will have no shortage of Premier League suitors and Sky Sports claimed in April that Arsenal had him high on their wishlist.
90Min have since reported that Tottenham are also in the race for Neves with Antonio Conte keen to sign a new midfielder.
This one will almost certainly depend on qualifying for the Champions League.
Arsenal and Tottenham are vying for fourth place in the Premier League and it will be played until the last day of the season.
Neves is unlikely to join a club without Champions League action and the clubs themselves are unlikely to pay £70million without playing in Europe’s top competition.
Wolves apparently believe Neves will be close to leaving and the next week could shape his destination.
