AC Milan and Inter have been alerted by news that Chelsea are ready to sell Timo Werner for the right price this summer, according to a report.
Calciomercato.com reports how Milan clubs are playing their rivalry as main Scudetto candidates but they could soon be in a market derby to secure a new striker. The first name that comes to mind when linked with the two clubs is Gianluca Scamacca, but his asking price and lack of big-game experience might make them look for other opportunities.
This is where Timo Werner’s name comes up. The German striker showed the makings with RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga but has only been at his best in previews since joining Chelsea, and the report quotes Sport1 as saying the Blues could be tempted to sell him for around 40 million euros.
At Inter he could be paired with Edin Dzeko if Lautaro Martinez leaves and would provide greater depth to Simone Inzaghi’s attack, while at Milan he would be a player with different characteristics compared to Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
