Merson says one Tottenham ace often overlooked

Paul Merson has written on SportsKeeda that Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min rarely gets the credits he deserves.

The former Arsenal star believes that Son was the best player for Tottenham this past season.

The Sky Sports pundit has said that the South Korea international forward was “phenomenal” for Tottenham and has praised him for his hard-working nature.

Paul Merson on Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min

Merson wrote about Son on SportsKeeda: “Son Heung-Min was absolutely outstanding for Tottenham Hotspur.

“He won the Golden Boot in the Premier League and he’s been phenomenal. He works his socks off and rarely gets the credit he deserves.

“Son hasn’t been named in the PFA Players’ Player of the Year shortlist, and I think that’s pathetic at the highest level.

“He’s been consistent all season and on current form, he can walk into any team in the world.”

big player

In our view, Son Heung-min is one of the best players in the Premier League and is a key figure at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 29-year-old has established himself as an important source of goals for Spurs over the years and won the Premier League Golden Boot award along with Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah this past season.

Both Son and Salah scored 23 goals in the Premier League this past season.

Tottenham finished in the top four of the Premier League table this season, and one of the big reasons behind that was Son’s goals.

That Son outscored his Tottenham teammate and England international striker Harry Kane is pretty remarkable.

Tottenham will aim to end up in the Premier League top four again next season and will also look to make an impact in the Champions League.

Son will be a big player for Antonio Conte’s side in that quest.
