Everything Eriksen said about his future
Manchester United are interested in signing Christian Eriksen on a free transfer this summer. Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during last summer’s European Championship and he left Inter Milan following the incident.
The player made his January return to football earlier this year when he joined Brentford on a six-month loan. Having contributed one goal and four assists in 11 appearances for Brentford, Eriksen is now available on a free transfer and Thomas Frank’s side would like to sign the midfielder permanently, but they face competition from United for his signature.
The Manchester Evening News understands Erik ten Hag wants to bring in Frenkie de Jong and Eriksen to reshape United’s midfield this summer, although it is believed the latter could be persuaded to sign for Brentford with his family settled in London.
