Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is ready to sell Alex Telles in this summer’s transfer window after the Brazilian was involved in a training ground collapse, according to reports. The Samba star was signed by Porto’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer two years ago. But he often struggled at Old Trafford and, with the arrival of Tyrell Malacia, a parting of ways appears to be on the cards.
Last May, Telles and Hannibal Mejbri were allegedly involved in a fight at the club’s Carrington training complex.
And The Mirror says the Samba star is now on the verge of being sold, with Ten Hag keen to assert himself in the dressing room and make it clear that lapses in discipline will not be tolerated.
The incident at their complex is said to have seen the teammates “shocked” as Ralf Rangnick was then forced to abandon the session early despite his desire to see the team members improve.
The players attempted to calm the situation as Hannibal and Telles clashed, with the duo 10 years apart.
Telles moved to Old Trafford from Porto in the 2020 summer transfer window, with Solskjaer adamant he would be a huge hit.
But the 29-year-old has often blown hot and cold and struggled to break into the squad ahead of Luke Shaw, regardless of the nature of the England international’s performances.

Telles was also recently embroiled in a row with Bruno Fernandes, too, in footage that was captured on film and posted to social media.
Fernandes objected to the Brazil international and Fred filming footage at Carrington for a ‘Day in the Life’ video.
Fernandes yelled at the pair to stop “playing football”, then barked that they were “here to play football, not film it”.
He also insulted the film crew who were also present, telling them to “film my (expletive)”.
Hannibal has been a tenacious figure in his brief United career so far and has earned praise for his brutal cameo in the club’s 4-0 loss to Liverpool in April.

Yet, while his temper may be questionable, it looks like United are ready to back the 19-year-old on Telles instead.
With Malacia set to arrive from Feyenoord, for a fee of £13.5m, Telles’ days at the club are drawing to a close.
And he’s not the only player who could leave United, with the futures of seven other assets currently up in the air.
Eric Bailly is wanted by Fulham and has been deemed surplus even though he wants to stay at Old Trafford.
Phil Jones could be offloaded as the England international has been plagued with injuries since joining from Blackburn Rovers in the 2011 summer transfer window.

United are also ready to listen to offers from Axel Tuanzebe and Brandon Williams.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is wanted by Crystal Palace, although Ten Hag is ready to give him a pre-season to prove his worth.
And Andreas Pereira and Anthony Martial, who had loan spells at Flamengo and Sevilla respectively last season, also face uncertain futures.
Meanwhile, Michael Carrick has opened up on Ten Hag and outlined his expectations for the upcoming season.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “United hopefully can start the season well and get off to a good start. And it will be interesting to see how that goes.
