MANCHESTER CITY have completed the signing of Everton wonderkid Emilio Lawrence, according to reports.
The youngster is highly rated and has also attracted interest from rivals Manchester United.
Everton also wanted to keep him and offered a new contract, which Lawrence rejected in favor of joining City, reports The secret scout.
Lawrence played for Everton youth but never signed a college contract.
It opened the door for City to pounce, catching the 16-year-old amid interest from Chelsea.
It’s another blow for Everton, who also lost young prospect Thierry Small to Southampton last summer after he became the youngest player to make an appearance for the Toffees six months earlier.
Lawrence made 17 appearances for Everton Under-18s last season, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
The attacking midfielder has also played four Premier League 2 games which could increase the amount City owe Everton in compensation.
City have already brought in three arrivals this summer in Erling Haaland, Kalvin Phillips and Julian Alvarez.
Brighton defender Marc Cucurella could be the next to sign as a potential replacement for Oleksandr Zinchenko.
