Manchester City winger Jack Grealish has claimed to be the best of his FIFA team-mates, while revealing how he ended up on stage with Stormzy at the Leeds Festival last summer.
The England international is looking to help Pep Guardiola’s Citizens win a treble of trophies over the coming months, with the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League still on the line for the club.
City travel to Atletico Madrid in the latter competition on Wednesday, looking to build on a one-goal lead from the first leg of their quarter-final – but if the match were to be settled on the PlayStation 5, then Grealish joking he would be best suited for the job.
What was said?
“I’m very good at FIFA and I’m the best in the team,” Grealish said UEFA.com. “No, you know what, I haven’t really played against a lot of guys here.
“I think Zinner – [Oleksandr] Zinchenko – was telling me the other day that he was good.
“At Villa, obviously, I was the best. Of my group of friends back home, I’m the best.”

Grealish also reflected on his unexpected appearance on stage at the Reading and Leeds festivals last year, when the winger appeared during rap heavyweight title track Stormzy at the last edition, revealing the two had become friends online more than half a decade ago.
“When Stormzy first came on the scene – it must have been about six years ago – I tweeted it because I had seen it online somewhere, saying something like, ‘Stormzy is the next up and coming -come’ [artist]”, and he answered me and we started to follow each other,” he added.
“We’ve stayed in touch ever since. We hadn’t planned to meet at the Leeds Festival; we were backstage watching Jack Harlow and he was there and he said, ‘Come to my set in a moment.” Of course, I went and ended up on stage with him! It was a bit of a blur, actually.”
