Gold suggests Crystal Palace may be interested in Harry Winks

Alasdair Gold has hinted in a video on his YouTube channel that he thinks Crystal Palace may be interested in signing Harry Winks from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Winks leave Spurs in the coming months. He struggled to retain a place in the team under a number of managers, including Antonio Conte. His last 90-minute Premier League appearance came back in February.

Rodrigo Bentancur has been a revelation since moving in January. And Winks’ place in the pecking order is likely to drop further once Oliver Skipp returns from injury.

Your club’s SURPRISE star this season

Reports have claimed that Tottenham are ready to take just £15million for Winks. And you imagine a number of Premier League sides will want the England international.

Everton would be admirers. And Gold has now suggested there’s a chance Patrick Vieira is looking to bring Winks to Selhurst Park.

“I think he will be an attractive proposition for some of these clubs at the next level. You have the likes of Evertons. And I think Palace, there could be a bit of potential interest there as well,” a- he told his YouTube channel.

Crystal Palace interested in Harry Winks

Palace have a huge void to fill in their midfield this summer. Conor Gallagher has proven to be an absolutely outstanding loan signing. And it wouldn’t be surprising to see him involved in Chelsea’s first team next season.

Winks is a very different midfielder. But the Eagles will be aware that finding a replacement for Gallagher who ticks many of the same boxes will be difficult.

Winks has the ability to be an “incredible” player. He tries to dictate the game and be brave with the ball. And some Spurs fans might not be surprised if he proves successful at his next club.

It seems to be best for all parties if Winks agrees to step away this summer. Maybe Palace could be his next destination.
