Liverpool have made a series of excellent moves for exciting young players this summer, including the most recent Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen. Described by Klopp as ‘athletic, intelligent, confident, with good technical ability and – always crucial – eager to learn’, it seems a given that the right-back will fit in at the club. And Liverpool legend Steve Nicol only agrees.
“When I look at this Liverpool team now they look really together too. No doubt Andy Robertson will be the first to take care of Ramsay so I expect that to be the same [as when I joined the club]Nicol told the Daily Mail over the weekend.
“Robbo is also a good guy, so I don’t think there is any danger. Like I said, he will take care of Calvin.
For Ramsay himself, he is thrilled to make a difference in the role Klopp has given him.
“Obviously I’m a right-back, quite attacking – I like to attack. I’m fine defensively too, but my main attribute is attacking,” Ramsay told LFCTV after signing with the club. good crosses, I like to receive long shots, from both feet, to cut inside, to go down the line, to link up with my winger.
“But most of all I like to work hard, work hard for the team, do this shift and that’s all I can do. I’ll try to do my best for the club. I’m looking forward to be there.
