Speaking in the latest issue of FourFourTwo magazine (May 2022, page 29), Emile Smith Rowe spoke about the chant Arsenal fans have created for himself and Bukayo Saka.
The two young stars are a pair of fan favorites at the Emirates these days, and, as you can imagine, the Arsenal fanbase have created a brilliant song to serenade the pair.
If you haven’t heard it yet, it’s to the tune of “Rockin All Over The World” by Status Quo and it’s absolutely awesome.
Smith Rowe likes the song, and he says everyone always sings it in the locker room, stating that the singing is usually led by Aaron Ramsdale, with the goalkeeper also acting as the Gunners’ resident DJ.
What was said?
Smith Rowe discussed his song and how Ramsdale has already become a leader in the locker room.
“Everyone always sings it in the locker room! And for away games they always play on the coach. Aaron Ramsdale is the point guard; he’s a DJ and it’s the first song he puts on after a game. Who would have thought there would be a song about us? It’s crazy. I had never even heard of it before,” Smith Rowe said.
While Saka and Smith Rowe’s singing is absolutely brilliant, the best thing about Smith Rowe’s comments here is how comfortable Ramsdale is already at Arsenal.
The goalkeeper only joined in the summer, and heading to a massive club after back-to-back relegations will have been a daunting task.
However, he has settled in brilliantly, he is a star on the pitch and it looks like he is already one of the biggest figures at the club behind the scenes.
Ramsdale seems to be enjoying life at Arsenal, and that’s great to see.
