Callum Hudson-Odoi is also back at the start of pre-season training with Chelsea

Alongside Ben Chilwell, it looks like youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi has already returned from summer break to start training for the new upcoming season, joining Chelsea’s youth teams at Cobham. The first team is not expected to return until July 2 at the earliest, with most returning over the next two weeks, depending on their summer schedules.

Hudson-Odoi posted some highlights on her Instagram story today, confirming her involvement.

It’s certainly great news, not just in terms of the extra commitment, but because Hudson-Odoi had missed the final four months of the season with some sort of Achilles problem – which had become more of a concern as time went on. as he dragged on, given the major rupture he had suffered from that tendon a few years ago.

Prior to the injury, Hudson-Odoi, who is still rather incredibly 21, saw regular involvement last season, both in attack and at full-back, collecting three goals and six assists in 28 appearances in all competitions. He has just two years left on the contract he signed after some (read: a lot) drama in 2019.

Big things are certainly expected, now more than ever!
