Barcelona target Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon

The January 2022 transfer window has closed, but there are still plenty of rumors floating around about who is going where. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumors, whereabouts and, of course, deals!

TOP STORY: Barcelona eyes Reguilon from Spurs

Barcelona are interested in a transfer for the left-back from Tottenham Hotspur Sergio Reguilonaccording to Sports.

The former Real Madrid player has struggled at Spurs this season under Antonio Conte, battling with Ryan Sessegnon for a winger role. The 25-year-old has made 22 Premier League appearances, scoring twice and assisting three times.

Barcelona were on the hunt for a left-back, with the likes of Alexander Grimaldo (Benfica) and Jose Gaya (Valencia) bound. Reguilon is the latest, with a potential swap deal suggested in the report, with either Memphis Depay Where Clement Lenglet free to leave if so.

Depay and Lenglet would fit the positions Spurs have been linked with, as they seek another striker and centre-back ahead of a big summer for Conte in his squad transformation.

The fact that Reguilon is a former Real Madrid player may cast doubt on his joining the club for some, with a potential return to Los Blancos also on the maps. The Bernabeu side reportedly have a clause in the full-back’s transfer which could see him drop for €40m if he wanted to.

Philippe Coutinho impacted his return to the Premier League, joining Aston Villa on loan from Barcelona in January. Journalist Nicolas Schira reports that Villa have been impressed with the playmaker and are working to sign him permanently from the Blaugrana once his loan expired. The 29-year-old’s deal at Camp Nou runs until 2023 and despite his loan including a clause which could see him join, Villa could look to lower the valuation.

Moise KeanJuventus’ future at Juventus is in doubt as he failed to convince the club this season, Calciomercato say. The striker is currently on loan at Bianconeri from Everton, making 23 Serie A appearances with four goals but rarely starting. The 22-year-old’s loan includes a permanent signing if the conditions are met, meaning he will join for €28million, but there is uncertainty over whether this option should be taken.

– AS Roma are looking to strengthen their attack this summer and Calciomercato report they are interested in a transfer for Goncalo Guedes. The Valencia winger is a regular in La Liga with Roma eyeing a potential transfer in January. The 25-year-old’s 10 goals and five assists in the league have impressed, with a valuation of €30m.

– Internazionale eyes Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic in replacement of Stefan de Vrij, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport. De Vrij, 30, is out of contract in 2023 and has made 22 Serie A appearances this season, but there are doubts about his continuation at San Siro. As for Milenkovic, 24, he has been a regular for The Viola and he is also a free agent in 2023 who offers the Nerazzurri a chance to sign it.
