Mari’s decision is made
Pablo Mari has insisted he does not want to return to Arsenal after his loan spell at Udinese expires.
“When I arrived in January I had a clear and precise idea,” he told Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I told the coach and [club owner] Gino Pozzo that I came to play. But I realized that I had to win the job day after day, practice after practice. [Head coach] Cioffi was the first to welcome me, well, here.
“It’s the right league for me. Very tactical. I try to bring the striker towards me. I really like to have the ball and here it can be done and then there’s the battle and I like to have a battle on the ground.I would like to stay in Italy.
“I am very well at Udinese and I would be happy to take the club even higher in the table. Of course, I still have a two-year contract with Arsenal.”
