Former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon sought to assess the quality of Tottenham Hotspur’s defense on social media.
Dixon, who was part of the Gunners’ famous backline under George Graham, was responding to a post from an Argentina-centric account which used stats to suggest Cristian Romero is a considerably better player than Ben White.
The 57-year-old ironically suggested that Romero might have a better stat score than White as he has to do more work in defense for Spurs.
Tottenham’s listless form of recent weeks has seen their hopes of winning the FA Cup come to an abrupt end, while suffering disappointing Premier League defeats to Southampton, Wolves and Burnley.
Romero moved to north London last summer on an initial loan deal from Atalanta, with Spurs set to secure his signature on a permanent basis at the end of the current campaign (Daily Mail).

Romero is a considerably better defender than White and could prove to be a bargain for £42.5million, given Arsenal paid a higher fee for the England defender.
One thing Romero needs to improve is his corner kick marking, thankfully not having been punished by losing the player he was marking against Leeds and Middlesbrough.
