Arsenal have started contract talks with Bukayo Saka and his agent as the player is said to be happy with the Gunners’ sporting project.
According fabrice romano, Arsenal have started contract extension talks with Bukayo Saka’s agent. A new contract for their striker is a priority for the Gunners, with the England international happy with the plan.
Arsenal have turned their attention to the priority issue of extending Bukayo Saka’s contract. The 20-year-old has been the club’s best player for the last 18 months, and the Gunners are ready to reward him in a big way with a new contract.
Saka’s current contract is still two years old, and any further delays would put Arsenal at risk of losing it. Therefore, the Gunners are keen to renew his contract and are said to be willing to offer an exceptional salary package.
Mikel Arteta considers Saka central to his project and wants to keep him at the Emirates at all costs. The North London giants have already started talks with his agent over a long-term deal and are said to be discussing salary details.

Arsenal’s biggest concern over Saka is potential interest from Manchester City. The Premier League title holders have allowed Raheem Sterling to join Chelsea and could tap into the market for a replacement.
Reports suggest Man City are already planning an approach for Saka in 2023, although the English champions have denied interest in the 20-year-old. He will no doubt be a player on Pep Guardiola’s mind, but the Gunners could look to kill such conversation. Saka likes the current project at Arsenal, which should give optimism about his expansion.
Besides, the Gunners have also reportedly started new contract negotiations for young defender William Saliba as Arteta plans to keep their talented young stars and build his squad around them.
A new contract for Saka means something big for Arsenal and their fan base. The Hale End graduate made 131 appearances for the club, scoring 23 goals and assisting 29 goals. Seeing him play for a rival would be a blow to the fans. However, all sides are optimistic that the Gunners will want to complete his extension as soon as possible.
